![]() I doubt that hardware memory is the problem. ![]() I’ve got a 2.39 GHz processor with 248 MB of RAM and a 37 GB hard drive. When I hit the Caps button, I get the following message: ‘Device: Primary Display Driver No hardware support’. If I click the Test button next to ‘Primary Display Driver’ and click OK to test, I get the following error: ‘A display device related error occurred: The chosen display device most probably does not have enough hardware memory to run an experiment with the selected display mode: a call to DirectDraw::CreateSurface failed for the primary surface.’ The same error message appears when I try to run an experiment. In the Hardware Settings Tab, ‘Primary Display Driver’ is selected as the adapter, and ‘current setting’ is selected as the display mode. I’m running Presentation version 0.55 Build 0.3.10.03 on Windows XP with a Viewsonic Plug & Play monitor on an Intel® 82845G/GL Graphics Controller.
